Dear Friends,
I spent the last year channeling every last ounce of vital life force I had into my building a baby. And as my belly swelled and my skin looked decidedly less swell, I remember thinking: has my skin peaked?
Well, that baby boy was born just short of my 45th birthday and by some miracle, and with a lot of help from my newest collection of youth preserving skincare, a healthy diet (lots of green vegetables), breast milk face masks (if you know, you know), and my array of weird home devices, my skin is somehow looking, dare I say it, slightly better than before this pregnancy.
From microneedling, dermarolling and Genius RF to high frequency, Lase MD and red light therapy, I've explored just about every natural treatment out there. Actually, I'm sharing my brutally honest take on all of the above over on The Edit With Nicole later this week. I'd love to see you there.
But this week, we're honing in on red light therapy: what it is, how it works, who it's for and which devices are worth spending your hard earned cash on. If you're gadget avoidant, this is a good way to dip your toe into the wild and weird world of skincare devices. And if you're an impatient type like me, I think you'll discover red light therapy offers some pretty darn immediate results for skin damage, scarring, hyperpigmentation, dwindling collagen, laxity issues and dark under eye circles.
Read on for the whole enchilada (green chili chicken enchiladas for all of you following the Lori Vallow trial this week - yikes!) plus a special gift for the red light curious: my favorite co-pilot for taking this at-home skincare treatment over the top and your gift with orders.
With Love,
Nicole
